Evolution in Compact Calorimetry: The Modern C 200 h Calorimeter

The IKA C 200 h Calorimeter combines precision, reliability, and cost-efficiency in a compact design. Developed for determining the gross calorific value of liquid and solid samples, it is ideal for technical schools, universities, and industrial laboratories with lower sample throughput requirements. Its space-saving construction and affordable investment cost make it an excellent entry-level yet standards-compliant solution in combustion calorimetry.

Fully compliant with DIN 51900, ISO 1928, ASTM D240, ASTM D4809, ASTM D5865, ASTM D1989, ASTM D5468, and ASTM E711, the C 200 h ensures internationally recognized and reproducible results.

C 200 h Functions and Technical Features

Manual or Semi-Automated Operation
Water and oxygen filling are performed manually. For higher sample volumes, the system can be upgraded with a cooling circulator (RC 2) and C 200.RC hose for semi-automated operation.

Dynamic and Isoperibol Measurement Modes

Halogen-Resistant Decomposition Vessel (C 5012)
The catalytically active, halogen-resistant decomposition vessel made of Hastelloy is specially designed for samples containing more than 3% halogens and sulfur. The material prevents corrosion caused by high chlorine content, while the catalytically activated inner surface improves recovery rates when analyzing halogens and/or sulfur after combustion.

Data Management and Software
The C 6040 CalWin software controls the unit and monitors measurements. Collected data can be exported and evaluated in Excel, Word, SQL, and LIMS systems. Multiple calorimeters can be operated from one PC. (CalWin sold separately.)
